Delete your CardUp! account

You can delete your account at any time, in the CardUp! app for iPhone or Android, or on the web. It deletes your cards and everything else in your account, and it can't be undone. We email you when it's done.

In the app

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Tap your name at the top.
  3. Tap Delete Account, then Delete Account again.

If you signed in a while ago, we first email you a link to confirm it's you. Open it on the same phone, and you'll be asked once more before your account is deleted.

On the web

  1. Sign in at cardup.me with the email you use for CardUp.
  2. Open Settings, tap your name, then tap Delete Account and confirm.

Can't sign in?

Email support@cardup.me from the address you sign in with, and ask us to delete your account. We'll write back when it's done.

What's deleted

Everything in your account, as soon as you confirm:

  • Your account: your name, email address, mobile number and sign-in.
  • Your cards, with their pictures, logos, badges and contact files.
  • Your contact photo, and the photos and stickers it was made from.
  • Your contacts and connections, your invitations and your invite links.
  • Your uploaded pictures, bookmarks, scan history and the feedback you sent us.
  • The leads on your cards: the names, emails and phone numbers people left for you.
  • The list of who viewed your cards.

And everywhere else in CardUp:

  • Your card links stop working. Your card leaves other members' contacts, and the bookmarks you shared leave their timelines.
  • Where you viewed someone's card, they still see a visit, but not your name or photo.
  • QR cards and SmartTags you set up stop opening your card. To use one with a new account, email us.

What's kept

  • The details you left on other members' cards, for example when you swapped cards. They belong to the card's owner, like an email you sent them. Ask the owner to remove them, or email us.
  • Copies outside CardUp, such as your card saved in someone's phone contacts, or an email we already sent.
  • If you bought something from our store, its order record, for as long as tax law requires.

Traces in our servers' logs and recovery systems are erased within 30 days.

Delete some of your data, and keep your account

You can delete these yourself at any time, in the app or on the web:

  • a card, or a picture on a card;
  • a contact or a connection;
  • a bookmark;
  • a lead (on iPhone and the web).

For anything else, email support@cardup.me from the address you sign in with, and tell us what to delete.
